Giant Reptilian Monsters in the Australian Bush
South Australian Reports

The Nullarbor Plain, South Australia, has a long tradition of giant monitor lizards.

According to local Aboriginal legend, the sink -hole caves on the Nullarbor are inhabited by giant goanna bunyips. Far back in the Dreamtime, one of these reptilian giants created the dust storms by lashing his great tail around the countryside. Whenever there are dust storms hereabouts, the Aborigines believe they are the work of one of these lizard giants.
